Hii frnds,a very warm welcome to all of you and thanks for following our blog.Through this blog me and my frnds would like to clarify the opaque image of BIT Deoghar.You are now going to have a clear picture of this college from some of the outstanding students of BIT,yes...i d'not have any shame or arrogance to call ourselves outstanding,afterall we are the first to take initiative to start a blog over BITD.
Now lets come to the point,as mentioned above it is the 3rd extension center of BIT Mesra for engineering trades which was inaugurated on 3 October 2007 by C.M of Jharkhand Mr.Madhu Koda which provide degree of B.E.(Bachelor of Engineering) from BIT Mesra....yes many people have a doubt whether it provides degree of BIT Deoghar or BIT Mesra....so let me clarify that it provides degree of BIT Mesra.It have five trades of engineering namely CSE , ECE , EEE , Mechanical , Production.It has total of 270 intakes,30 for production and 60 each for remaining branches.In the first batch i.e.2007 batch there were only 3 branches CSE , ECE , EEE.
It is located in the picturesque location of Ratanpura village in Deoghar district which is 2 km from Jasidih railway station.Deoghar is a tourist spot which has a religious background.It is very famous for Baidyanath Dham Temple which is temple of Lord Shiva.
It has a 25 acres campus containing an insti building with a separate production lab,2 boys hostels,1 girls hostel,staff quarters,dispensary,play ground and a stationary shop.Almost everything including insti building,one end of 2nd hostel and staff quarters are under construction.Girls hostel is complete but it under extension to twice its length.
The arrangement in boys hostel is like 3boys in a room for 4th year,4 for 3rd year and 5-5 each for 2nd and 1st year and sometime there is also water scarcity. .Library is very small and not sufficient and don't provide any book for any extra preparation(GATE,CAT etc),college has subscribed with only one international journal "Science Direct".Wi-Fi facility is just for the namesake,sometime they provide but most of the time there is no Wi-Fi network.Playground is also very small.
Now come to most important aspect of this college-Placement.The placement of 2007 batch students are carried out by the placement cell of BIT Mesra.Students keep on visiting Mesra and Patna campuses for their placement.Companies like PWC, Tejas_Networks, Aricent, Atos Origins,Birlasoft, Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, Capgemini, Hindalco,Wipro,Accenture,Tata Power,Sony Software,Headstrong,Cybage and Gemmco.Average package offered to the first batch was 3.45 lakhs,lowest was 3.01 and the highest was 5.5 lakhs,since this was the first batch,these are really an encouraging statistics for the next batch students.There were total 147 students in the very first batch and out of that 128 got placed.The placement is done fully from BIT,Mesra campus.
